Point And Counter Point; I Vote For AOC

donnie posted this - it's so coherent that I'm pretty sure somebody else ghost wrote it because it's coherently irrational, not irrationally irrational - last Wednesday.

"Remember, Republicans, regardless of the Schumer Shutdown, the Democrats will terminate the Filibuster the first chance they get. They will Pack the Supreme Court, pick up two States, and add at least 8 Electoral Votes, Their two objectors are gone!!! Don’t be WEAK AND STUPID. FIGHT,FIGHT, FIGHT! WIN, WIN, WIN!"

"We will immediately END the Extortionist Shutdown, get ALL of our agenda passed, and make life so good for Americans that these DERANGED DEMOCRAT politicians will never again have the chance to DESTROY AMERICA! Republicans, you will rue the day that you didn’t TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!!! BE TOUGH, BE SMART, AND WIN!!! This is much bigger than the Shutdown, this is the survival of our Country!"

Coincidentally, or providentially perhaps, I got the email from AOC yesterday.

"Please do not fall for the illusion or the lie that any action is too small.

There is no action too small.

In fact, when millions of us do tiny things, we can disrupt these systems. I'm not saying that getting in the game is going 100% to change the outcome, but it may, because we are in an unprecedented time.

The unprecedented time can mean, of course, many bad things happen — but it can also mean that unpredictable things can happen and can even go our way.

I was elected in the first Trump administration and nobody ever, ever thought that I had a prayer in order to win. I was a waitress. I was challenging the head of a political machine who was supposed to be the next Speaker of the House.

They spent $3 million against me while I was wiping down tables, and we won. Why?

Because an unpredictable window has opened.

 Do not comply in advance.

You try anyway.

We will not be afraid – because that’s what they want.

But our movement for real progress will have to push harder than ever these next four years."
