Waiting For The Ferry Yet Again

There is a trail along the shore for several miles that has quite a variety of opportunities to take interesting pictures.

A Really Artful Finesse

As best as I have been able to understand the whole hoohaw about the follow-on-in-time book in the one book “Mockingbird” franchise, the author, all those years ago submitted a manuscript to (someone in the shadowy world of publishing) who said something like “this is shit, but if you were to invent a prequel, it might be good.”

Such prequel was produced and the rest is history.

So here we are today.

I guess the lesson learned is that if you write something that wasn’t up to snuff and wait long enough – and if you have in the interim written something that has had massive commercial success, and perhaps, merit, you can finesse the old one into best seller status.

How nice.

Lopez Island Fireworks 2015

It was really different than previous years.

The temperature at 22H30 when the display commenced was about 70 degrees.

Fahrenheit.

That was amazing.

And disquieting: climate change has come to the San Juan Islands.

How nice.

For some people’s tomatoes, I guess.

But here are the images.
