I've Seen The Fix From Both Sides Now

In his July 16, 2026 primetime speech, Donald Trump did claim that there has been and continues to be major foreign interference in U.S. elections — specifically alleging that China illicitly obtained 220 million U.S. voter files and attempted to influence the 2020 election.

But: every authoritative source — including the U.S. intelligence community, bipartisan election officials, and even a senior Trump‑aligned journalist involved in the document release — says there is no evidence that any foreign power altered votes or compromised U.S. election results.

Oh well.

Interesting that he was all over China.

What about Russia, Russia, Russia?

*****

Oh well.

Here is what about Russia, Russia, Russia.

The Mueller Report said two things.

Thing One: the 2016 trump campaign had myriad contacts with various Russian operatives. But, to make all of those contacts amount to anything heinous, they would need to be adjudicated in court.

Like being tried.

With a jury.

Mueller said that conspiracy - which is what all those Russian contacts would have been called in court - is hard to prove, and he recommended against that that course of action.

Thing Two: Mueller documented ten instances of trump obstructing justice.

He said that, although trump would likely go to jail if tried in a Civilian Court DOJ had a practice of not indicting sitting presidents.

And, anyway, the Constitution has the preferred process for removal.

And we all know how well that worked.
