At 250 The Silence Is Deafening

America is in shambles.

It lies in craggy broken pieces on the floor of history, not unlike blue shards of vinyl in an algae infested pond.

And the pieces are all still living and throbbing - pulsating even - pieces of a discrete being that once existed; it's like some really bad horror movie.

Just one example.

Five months ago, we killed 120 little girls in Iran.

There is no argument.

They are dead.

The argument is why were they killed?

donnie prefers to "reframe" that question: "who killed them? It was the Iranians; everybody has Patriot missiles".

A nation that sits mute and lets that pass as acceptable behavior - inventing an alternate universe fantasy about an obvious major misdirection of American power - by its leader - is a nation on the brink of something dark.

Something terminal.

America has gotten into a number of stupid wars in the Middle east in the last 26 years.

In each of them there have been cases where our military has fucked up and killed people they shouldn't have killed.

Our military and our government have always quickly investigated and adjudicated those fuck ups.

The fact that they happened hasn't caused to world to love us, but the fact that we quickly adjudicated and quickly admitted fault caused the world to continue to trust us.

Not a bad outcome from a bad input.

After five months since our mass murder of little girls, when asked what happened, Hegseth and Rubio still say that we are looking into it.

donnie sits in the middle of it like Jabba the Hut and throws another chicken leg into his copious maw.

The world wonders how long this can go on.

I wonder that also.

How can such a deafening silence remain - settled like some miasmic fog?

Upon our land?

And upon our beliefs?

And upon our mores?

And upon our hopes?

And upon our aspirations?

And upon our Constitution?

What has happened to us?

A lying sack of shit says, "The Iranians did it"?

And we all sit around scrollingly silent accepting that assertion?

And those little girls are all still dead.

America is so caught up with monetizing, content creating, influencing and conspiracy theorying that the game is over for anything important.

Important like surviving as a nation under god indivisible.

And the evangelicals have become the final arbiters of morality.

And white christian nationalists dance around bon fires singing America uber alles.

And neither god nor america have anything to do with decency.

Neither exist.
