I am listening to On Point on NPR.
The subject is an assessment of the United States' military v China in 2022 and beyond.
Specifically, the discussion is centering upon the likely outcome of China trying to take over Taiwan.
It's not too good: best case would be a bloody draw with American aircraft carriers at sea bottom and most American bases in the theatre in ashes; the good news was that China would get hurt too.
And they would probably take over a destroyed island breakaway.
That makes China the winner, I guess.
