So says John Sauer, the United States Solicitor General (he's the vapid factotum with the shrill/scratchy computer-generated voice who represents the US before the Supreme Court).
His reasoning is that demolition of the East Wing exposed a long used secure area and that hole in the ground must now be brought up to modern security standards, complete with a 90,000 square foot decoy atop it.
He says the president's life is in danger until that is done because he might fall in the hole in the interim.
I don't think he said interim; probably "mid current term".
But really.
Can't Natalie Hart watch him and keep him clear?
Otherwise, what are factotums for?
I guess there are people working on that.
Back to you when they are.
Or "early third term"?
