Twenty years it went.
Gunsmoke was its name.
Its weekly plot was a dramatic premise (sometimes called a script) for an unforgettable interaction between some people: Matt Dillon, Kitty, Doc and Chester.
They were the nation's family.
They had things to say.
We all loved them.
Things don't seem as good as they did when we tuned in to Gunsmoke every week.
But now we have donnie.
