A false, unvetted allegation was phoned in to child protective authorities in Michigan, claiming Pete Buttigieg had confessed to “unspeakable violent crimes” and that his children were in danger.
Authorities acted on the tip without verifying the source, and Buttigieg was told he could not be alone with his 4‑year‑old twins until interviews were conducted.
Michigan’s Attorney General called the incident a “malicious act” and opened a probe into how such an obviously dubious report triggered a traumatic intervention.
I would guess there's something MAGA in Michigan.
That's life as we are stuck with it.
Nobody knows why.
