Bald Eagles

 We have come a long way in the last few decades as far as bald eagles are concerned.

Once consigned to the status of mythical birds, like the ivory billed woodpecker, the bald eagle is back.

At least one sees them some places some times.

That's a big improvement.

I have seen them riding the thermals over Seattle City Center.

We have quite a few of them on Lopez island.
